Surviving are his wife, Velma; 1 daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Manion of Comstock; 1 son, Mr. Frank Ackley of Kal.; 3 step-sons, Paul Akers of Plainwell, Don Akers of Kal. and Tom Akers with the U.S. Army; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Loretta Tompkins of Shelby N. Carolina and Mrs. Jo Ann Tuttle of Allegan; 1 grandson, John Manion; 1 brother Herbert Ackley of Freemont, Ohio; 1 sister Mrs. Fern Bartel of Ida, Mich.
