Blanche Eleanor Cauley, 78, a resident of Chimacum for the past four years, died Sept. 16 in Port Townsend of pulmonary fibrosis.
She was born in Garfield, Minn., to Alfred and Hilda (Bergston) Christensen. She graduated from Fife High School in 1945.
On Jan. 6, 1969, she married Harry D. Cauley in Tacoma. The couple resided in Bremerton and Quilcene. They separated four years ago.
She was primarily a homemaker, but also worked as a hairdresser.
She enjoyed art, her doll hospital and doll collection.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Port Hadlock and Oak Bay Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Terry Michael Ackley; and four brothers, Neil Christensen, James Alfred Christensen, Floyd Everett Christensen and Gordon Christensen.
Survivors include her husband, of McMinnville, Ore.; a son, Richard Wayne Ackley of McKenna; a stepson, Tony Cauley of Silverlake; three stepdaughters, Donna Vo-Khoung of Gilroy, Calif., Ann Cauley of McMinnville, Ore., and Linda Buffington of Tacoma; a brother, Donald Eugene Christensen of Chimacum; and a sister, Phyllis Marjorie Doolittle of Chimacum.
Inurnment is at Miller-Woodlawn Mausoleum, 5505 Kitsap Way in Bremerton. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 2 at the mausoleum.

Lillian (Gagne) Ackley, 74, of Port Orchard died Sept. 4 at Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born in Cosmopolis, Wash., to Marian and Arthur Hayes.
She married Robert Gagne in June 1945. He preceded her in death in 1966.
In 1968, she married Arthur Ackley of Bremerton. They moved to Coulee Dam, Wash., and enjoyed many activities there.
Mrs. Ackley was devoted to her family and looked forward to family gatherings. She and her husband, Arthur, also enjoyed traveling by car and motorcyle and camping in their motorhome.
She was especially fond of her 1957 pearl white Thunderbird.
Survivors include five sons, Robert and his wife, Rosie, of Homer, Alaska, Mark of Orlando, Fla., Gary and his wife, Vicki, of Olalla, Mic and his wife, Sue, of Coulee Dam and John and his wife, Cathy, of Silverdale; a daughter, Cathy and her husband, Sam, of Spokane; a stepson, Dick Ackley of Tacoma; two brothers, Richard Hayes of Longview and Mike Gillespie of Sumner; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Paul; a stepson, Terry Ackley; and two brothers, Stanley and Arthur Hayes.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 27 at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Aberdeen. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association and to a hospice or charity of the donor's choice. She had Social Security Number 536-24-8362 WA.
