She was born in Fenton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George N. Shaw, and came to Muir with her parents at the age of two. She attended and graduated from Muir high school and was married to David Ackley of Muir. Following her marriage they moved to Grand Rapids and conducted a furniture store. Mrs. Ackley was the last survivor of the First Christian Endeavor group of Muir Presbyterian church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Betty smith; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Morse of Ionia, and Mrs. Mary Jean Marshall of Kalamazoo. One brother, George L. Shaw, died a few years ago. The body will arrive at Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir late Thursday.
