Services for Earle E. Ackley, 78, of Doris Park Road, Constantia, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool. The Rev. William J. Turner, rector of St.. Matthew's Episcopal Church of Liverpool, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood-Morningside Cemetery, Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Oct. 7). Mr. Ackley died Wednesday in Community-General Hospital, Syracuse after a long illness, He retired in 1966 from Allied Corp. after 37 years with the firm, Mr. Ackley was born in Syracuse and lived here until moving to Constantia 17 years ago. He was a member of Dixie Groves Community Club of Holiday, Fla. Surviving are his wife, Lucy Tapner Ackley; a daughter, Shirley Pierson of Liverpool; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
