She married Darrell Freeman on April 15, 1974, and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Ackley of Aurora, John Ackley of Springfield, and Earl Ackley of New Bloomfield; one sister, Mary Ray of Pratt, Kansas; three step-sons, Don Freeman of the state of Pennsylvania, Dallas Freeman of Esterville, Iowa, and Daniel Freeman of the state of Iowa; one step-daughter, Darrie Damon of Springfield; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Turner; three brothers, Patrick, Fred, and Lawrence McNerney; and two sisters, Jenevieve Davis and Cecilla McNerney.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, September 11, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Verona with Father Bob Landewe officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home of Aurora.
Prayer service will be 7:30 p.m. today, September 10, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice or the church. She was buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Aurora, Lawrence , Missouri.40

He was born Nov. 10, 1940, in Glendale, Calif., to the late Warren Winston Ackley and Margaret Ann McNerney Ackley-Freeman. On Sept. 30, 1967, he married Karen Sue Newman in Pierce City.
Earl served in the U.S. Navy. He moved to the Fulton area in 1974 and worked for Ovid Bell, retiring in 2001. He then worked as a driver for SERVE. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. Earl was an avid hunter and photographer.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Sue, of Millersburg; one son, Robert Ackley and his wife, Melissa, of Fulton; one daughter, Angil Romitti and her husband, Marty, of Columbia; two brothers, Kenneth Ackley and his wife, Patricia, of Aurora and John Ackley and his wife, Bonnie, of Springfield; five grandchildren, Loren, Brandon, Logan, Roman and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Ann McCandless.
