Dearest grandfather of Bridget, Charlie and Audrey. Also survived by sister Joan (Bud) Palmer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and very many friends. Preceded in death by his father Charles and mother Edith. 

Charlie was a 1948 graduate of West Allis Central High School, attended Ripon College and was a 1952 graduate of UW-Madison. He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. 

Charlie was co-owner of Ackley-Dornbach, a detention equipment construction contracting business. He was an avid traveler, UW Badger enthusiast, golfer and longtime member, board member and past president of Westmoor Country Club. 

Visitation will take place Monday, July 6 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Brookfield (1755 N. Calhoun Rd.) from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Private family committal services at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation-Stroke Center. The family would like to thank the staff at Lake Country Health and Rehabilitation, St. Anne's Providence Court, and Heartland Hospice for their care.
